We are pretty excited about this big guy!  His size, pedigree and temperament all indicate that this nice colt will be a winner in the show ring.

His sire, All Hands On Zip, remains one of the leading sires of Appaloosa performance horses, with dozens of winners in Hunter Under Saddle.

His dam, Strawscootin Suzy,  is the granddaughter of two of Appaloosa's best producing sires -- Romans Strawman & Scooter Bug G. She has produced several nice babies -- the first two entering the show ring in Hunter In Hand. Suzy is a big, 16-1 hands and has a long sweeping stride.

Jaquard should be way over 16 hands, approaching 17 hands, at maturity. He has a pretty little head, long trim neck, short back,  huge stride and LONG legs with the promise of big, sweepy movement. And look at that color -- how can you miss that in the show ring??!!

Jacquard has several full siblings that will make their way into the show ring this spring and summer:

  • StrawBerry qualified for 2006 World in 3 Year Old Hunter Under Saddle in her first show this spring!  In her second show, she qualified for World in Hunter In Hand Mares.  She earned over 8 points in a 3 point class that consisted of several mares that were Top Ten at World and Nationals in this event.
  • Tempo, at 24 months is 16-2 hands at the hip!  He is being prepared for Hunter In Hand Geldings and will be started slowly under saddle.
  • Gracie (Rose) is the 2006 Reserve National Champion Hunter In Hand Yearling Fillies!  She shows great talent and should be a winner under saddle next year.
